Travel Insurance
I wouldn’t recommend traveling without travel insurance - like I did between the lapse of my teaching insurance in July until mid-September. That was just stupid. I’m not very accident prone, but had anything happened it might have wiped out my travel funds and put me in debt. Thankfully, I now use World Nomads Travel Insurance. After several rounds of research, World Nomads came out on top for several reasons:
- Their prices are competitive, a high priority for a budget traveler like myself.
- It covers high-risk activities like climbing and skiing in addition to the normal stuff.
- World Nomads is a responsible company giving back through the Footprints Network.
In addition, I follow the CEO on twitter and I like what he has to say. He’s definitely a fellow social entrepreneur.
Friendly Planet is partnered with World Nomads to 1) spread the good word and 2) build income for this blog. Friendly Planet receives 10% of anything purchased through links found on this site. We donate 50% of that!
